A shared passion for chamber music and a love of good food bring together the musicians of Trio Parémi, whose name was inspired by the Viennese café of the same name.
The ensemble’s musical roots go back to the student years of flutist Veronika Blachuta and cellist Marilies Guschlbauer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Following numerous international projects together, they founded Trio Parémi in 2018 with pianist Kasumi Yui. Today, the ensemble performs with pianists Hanna Bachmann and Adela Liculescu, who alternate depending on the project.
Trio Parémi has performed at numerous concert series and festivals in Austria and abroad, including the Niederösterreichischer Musiksommer, the Kitzbühel and Zell am See Summer Concerts, and the J. I. Schnabel Festival in Poland. As prizewinners of the Musica Juventutis concert series, the ensemble made its debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus in 2021, with the performance also broadcast by Austrian national radio Ö1. The trio also made its debut at the Vienna Musikverein with “Revolutionary Women”, a programme dedicated to female composers and their music.
In its concert programmes, Trio Parémi combines well-known works of the chamber music repertoire with exciting musical discoveries. A rich diversity of repertoire and the joy of making music together lie at the heart of the ensemble’s artistic work.
